When I click on a button to watch a movie, I see a pop-up window appear and disappear. | back to top
This is probably due to software designed to block pop-up windows interfering with the launching of Windows Media Player.
You will need to either disable pop-up blocking or add www.adameveondemand.com as a "trusted site" that is allowed to launch pop-up windows.
The Google Toolbar pop-up blocker will prevent this site from working unless you disable it entirely.
I was able to watch a movie before but now it will not play. I keep getting an error message. | back to top
This is a side effect of caching on your PC to speed up your browsing experience. There are two work-arounds that you can use to resolve this issue:
Disable Caching
- At the IE menu bar, select Tools
- Then select Internet Options
- Then at the middle of the pop-up, in the Temporary Internet files section, select Settings
- At the top of the pop-up, change the “Check for newer versions of stored pages:” to “Every visit to the page”
- Then press ok on the pop-ups
Clean up the cache
- At the IE menu bar, select Tools
- Then Internet Options
- Then at the middle of the pop-up, in the Temporary Internet files section, select “Delete Files”
- Then press "OK" on the pop-ups
I'm not able to preview movies -- what's up? | back to top
Currently our system allows you to watch up to six minutes of previews per day. For example, since all of our movies have a two-minute preview, you'll be able to watch up to three complete previews per day.
We have a variety of minutes packages that you can purchase. So
when you make a purchase, those minutes are added to your account. Then you can choose to watch a movie, or any part of a movie, using your minutes.
The various minutes packages are described here.
There is no cost to register. When you sign up, you receive a Pay-Per-Minute account. Then you'll have the option to upgrade your account to a monthly pay package (All-Pro or XXXtreme).
You can see the benefits of each of the packages here.
A Pay-Per-Minute account lets you purchase minutes to view our vast library of movies. You're also able to preview short clips, up to three per day, of our movies.
You can change or cancel your package at any time. Downgrading to Pay-Per-Minute is the same thing as canceling your package.
To change your package, simply log in, go to My Account, click Change Package on the right-hand side of the page, then locate your current package at the top of the new page. The box will show you your choices based on the package you have, and simply click the upgrade or downgrade option you want. Any remaining minutes from your All-Pro or XXXtreme package will stay in your account until the anniversary date of your package purchase, when they will expire.
I just canceled my package, but now I wish I hadn't. What do I do? | back to top
When you canceled your package, the remaining minutes stayed in your account and will continue to be there until the anniversary date of your package purchase, when they will expire. You can repurchase your package at any time, and when you check out you will receive a credit on your account for the remaining minutes.
The movie plays, but there are many pauses, and Windows Media Player displays a "buffering" message. | back to top
The player is probably experiencing network congestion. This means that there
is not enough available bandwidth to stream the selected file. When you are
using a TCP connection, the data in the player's buffer is used to supplement
the stream until the buffer is used up. As soon as the buffered data is gone,
the player pauses, replenishes the buffer, and then resumes playing by using
the new buffer to supplement the playback stream bandwidth. This cycle
continues until network conditions improve. Try again when the network is less
congested.
Another option is to make sure that the User Datagram
Protocol (UDP) is the only protocol that is selected in the Options
dialog box. To set this option, open Windows Media Player, click Options
on the Tools menu. This option reduces buffering, but it has
the adverse effect of dropping data if there is high congestion or insufficient
bandwidth. If you are located behind a firewall, you may not be able to use UDP
as your protocol.
Another option is to select a lower bandwidth for the Windows Media Player. Open Windows Media Player, then on the top left of the application, right-click where it says Windows Media Player and select Options. From the Options tab you will want to select Performance. Once the Performance tab is open you will see the "Connection speed" section. Select "Choose connection speed" and select a slower connection speed from the drop down box. Under the same Performance tab, you will see the "Network buffering" section. Select "Buffer" under "Network buffering" and change the box to "30 seconds of content" (60 seconds is the maximum).
While watching, the movie flipped upside down and became tinted green. | back to top
This is the result of a known bug in early versions of
Windows Media Player when combined with certain video card drivers. Please ensure you
are using the most recent versions of Windows Media Player, DirectX and
the latest drivers for your video card (available from the manufacturer of your computer
or video card.) Also, Microsoft has issued a program patch that may solve the problem for you. Click on this link and download the patch and
install following the Microsoft instructions. This should take care of your problem.
